 
We are now calling for entrants for this prestigious competition that will take place over the June Bank Holiday Weekend in Foynes, Co Limerick where Irish Coffee was first invented by Chef Joe Sheridan in 1943.
Heats:
Irish Coffee Heats will take place at Foynes Flying Boat Museum on Monday April 30th.

Rules of the competition:
1 Entrants must comply with the following conditions:
- Represent a Bar, Restaurant or Hotel
- Must be available to take part in a Semi-Final
- Entry form must be fully completed and returned to the Festival Office by official closing date of Monday 23rd April, 2012 accompanied by Official Entry Fee of €50.00.
2 Each contestant will be judged under the following headings:
- Personality 20%
- Technique & Presentation 20%
- Taste 60%
General Public voting will make up 25% of total marks.
Judging panel of 3 persons making up other 75% of vote.
The 2012 Powers Irish Coffee Making Champion will receive the following prizes:
- Trophy
- Cheque for €500
- 2 return tickets Shannon/Dublin to New York with United Airlines
